MEP COORDINATOR (ELECTRICAL ENGINEER)

Job description:

• Good knowledge of HVAC,fire fighting,plumbing and electrical works and systems
• Prepare the coordination drawing,RCP drawing,builder works for MEPS system
• Supervise the daily activity for MEP services
• Coordinate between all subcontractor
• Monitor and assure the site work is executed as per approved MEP shop drawing
• Ensure the MEP works is going as per planned program schedule
• Ensuring that services provisions clearance is provided in time for structure
• Provide technical advice to project construction team
• Oversee MEP service installation under civil contractor scope of works
• Closing the inspection comments for MEP contractor installation works
• Carry out site walks and inspection for service installation, identifying poor quality elements and advise construction team and MEP Manager.
• Carry out inspection for MEP contractor material along with QA/QC and consultant.
• Ensure that MEP site instructions and non-conformance reports NCR are closed out.
• To inspect concealed MEP service installation prior to closure of void/riser etc., in conjunction with QA/QC and obtaining consultant sign off.
• Ensure that contract’s HSE policies are implemented at site in coordination with HSE department.
• Ensure service access provisions are provided by construction tram in advance of commissioning of respective system/element of works.
• Liaising with and driving completion of testing and commissioning by service MEP Contractor for commissioning of system.
• Prepare punch list for complete MEP system and issued to MEP contractor for further rectification.
• Ensure the punch list inspection along with consultant for sign off and final hand over.
• Ensuring the compliance with the authority requirement and attending authority inspections etc.

Construction Phase

• Must be a strong team player and self-motivated
• BSC in Electrical Engineering
• Must possess thorough knowledge of UAE Regulations, shop drawing and MS office.
• Must be able to communicate diplomatically with consultants and sub-contractors.
• Highly developed time management ability and able to prioritize effectively.
• With minimum 8-10 years relevant experience
